The Trouble With Holidays

Patrick Quinn could use a holiday. Preferably somewhere quiet, with decent weather, no investigations and absolutely no divine interference.

A remote Queensland island seems like a reasonable place to start.

Naturally, it doesn't last.

A suspicious death, secrets buried beneath the island's peaceful appearance and a gathering storm turn Quinn's escape into another investigation he'd much rather not be conducting.

As tensions rise and the weather closes in, the island becomes a place where everyone has something to hide and leaving may no longer be an option.

Quinn wanted a break from trouble. Instead, he's about to discover that paradise can be a remarkably dangerous place when the wrong people have secrets worth protecting.

And somewhere in the middle of it all, the gods are unlikely to remain helpful, quiet or remotely sensible.
