Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to read about the books, download free stories and get in touch.
Our goal
This website aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
What we do
- Text and background colours are checked to meet AA contrast in every series theme.
- Every page can be used with a keyboard, and a "Skip to content" link appears first.
- Headings, landmarks and form labels are structured for screen readers.
- Images have text descriptions; book covers are described by title.
- Pages work on phones, tablets and desktops, and respect your device's reduced-motion setting.
- Automated accessibility tests run on every page before each update is published.
Known limitations
- The spam check on forms runs a short calculation in your browser. If it doesn't complete, wait a moment and try again, or email us directly.
- PDF and EPUB downloads are produced separately from the website; if you have trouble reading one, let us know and we'll try to help.
Tell us about a problem
If something is hard to use, please email contact@davidcampbellbooks.com and describe the page and the problem. We aim to respond within five working days.
